Paragraph 4 of Article 1 of Law Number 30 of 2000 on Trade Secrets states: trade secret is information that is not known by the public in the field of technology and business, has economic value because it is useful in business activity and kept secret by the owner of a trade secret.
The scope of protection of trade (trade secrates) covering production methods, processing methods, sales methods, or other information in the field of technology and business that have economic value and are not diketahaui by the general public. Trade secrets are protected if the information is confidential, known only to certain parties and not by the general public.
Trade secret owner can grant a license to another party. The definition of a license is a license granted to the parties through an agreement based on the granting of rights (not the transfer of rights) to enjoy economic benefits of a given trade secret protection for a specific period and certain terms.
