Land reform Indonesia
Land reform in the strict sense is a series of
actions in the framework of agrarian reform in Indonesia. Require
land reform program of land redistribution for the benefit of those who work
the land and restrictions on the rights of land resources individuates. Thus,
land reform is more a tool of social change in economic development, in
addition to a manifestation of political purpose, freedom, and independence of
a nation. This
is in accordance with the principle that agricultural land should be done or
actively cultivated by the owners themselves and prevents the ways that are
extortion.
Supreme Advisory
Council in its consideration of the reform of
land rights and land use rights stating that the reform aims to make a fair and
prosperous society can be held and in particular farmers' standard of living
and the rising standard of living of ordinary people all over increase, further
reform aims to strengthen and broaden the ownership of the land to the people
of Indonesia especially the peasants. The
purpose of land reform held in Indonesia is to enhance the income and standard
of living of the farmers, especially small farmers and sharecroppers ground, as
a foundation or prerequisite for conducting economic development towards a just
and prosperous society based on Pancasila.
